Gayton - Residential re-modelling and extension

Nearing completion this scheme re-imagines an existing 1960's detached property. The original house was a good size, but had a number of dark disconnected ground floor rooms. The client wanted all areas of the house to be utilised on a daily basis, rather than having rooms that were only used for family gatherings, so the solution was an open plan concept to the rear of the property to improve the flow. We also opened up the back of the house to the garden, by creating a family living space in a new single storey extension and used picture windows to the kitchen, lounge and extension to flood the centre of the house with as much light as possible.

Outside the house was improved with a palette of contemporary materials, including through colour render, aluminium windows, thin profile fibre cement roofing tiles and larch cladding. The scheme includes a contemporary garden 'shed' which will be used as a home office.

LOCATION: Heswall, Wirral

VALUE: £ 100,000

STATUS: Nearing completion
